Designed to teach entry-level security personnel their roles and responsibilities while on the job.
A history of the security industry will be presented along with a segment on the future of the profession.
Laws, liabilities and standard operating procedures will be discussed.

Observation Skills and Report Writing
The importance of documentation procedures and incident reporting is a critical skill of
the security profession. This class will teach you to write concise, accurate descriptions
that can be used in follow-up by law enforcement personnel.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
American Red Cross training in CPR. Students will receive hands-on training in the
proper techniques of clearing the airway, mouth-to-mouth and administering chest
compressions. If time allows, this will be followed by First-Aid instruction.

The role of a Security Officer during a building evacuation. How and When to initiate
partial and complete evacuations during an emergency.

Bomb threats, suspicious packages, weapons of mass destruction and target hardening
will all be discussed in this program that has been endorsed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Basic Computer Skills
Students will learn to use the computer starting with the basics in a relaxed setting.
Using the mouse, creating folders and saving files will be covered as well as
drafting a letter using Microsoft Word.
